Hello,

my name is Heinz Kromminga. My great passions are food/cooking and music. I have now ended my professional life - I have worked in health insurance for 42 years. So now I have the opportunity to implement my passions in a company. It’s called Food and Music and is based at Mathilde-Lehmann-Str. 10a in Bremerhaven. I offer culinary tours through the fishing port of Bremerhaven as well as cooking workshops on the subject of fish in my house or at yours. I also regularly organize living room concerts and readings in my house in Bremerhaven. My event room offers space for up to 50 listeners. The acoustics in the room are very good - so there is the possibility of playing concerts without amplification. I offer food and drinks at fair prices for the concerts.

My father worked as a merchant in the fishing port, for a very long time with the Schottke company, Frosta's predecessor. Then at the Seefisch company in Hall X. Through my father, I came into contact with the subject of fish early on and for a long time. There was good fresh fish almost every day, during my school holidays I was often employed in production and got to know how to work with fish. My grandmother (trained cook) and mother (passionate cook) introduced me to cooking at an early age. Since I like to eat well, I soon started cooking my own dishes. I was very interested in cooking, but then I took a different path professionally. At the age of 52 I did two 6-week internships in 2 good seafood restaurants in Ireland. Here I stood in professional kitchens for the first time and was able to learn a lot from things. I also learned that working in kitchens is very hard. But also a lot of fun. Whatever, I am now happy that I can implement my interests in my company Food and Music - and can pass them on to people. Since childhood I have had a great interest in music. For many years I have been playing Irish Folk on several instruments with enthusiasm. I'm active in the band Foggy Tuesday.
